Q: How does TiXiT get such great deals on tickets?
A: TiXiT works with event promoters who have unsold tickets to events that occur in the near future. As a result, TiXiT has access to great ticket deals on shows, concerts, and sporting events in your local area. We promote tons of great events and when we feature one, you get a great discount!
Q: Is TiXiT only selling bad seats like the ones in the top row or obstructed views?
A: Absolutely not! With TiXiT, you have access to unsold seats in pretty much the entire arena. The tickets you are buying are the same ones you would buy through normal channels, like Ticketmaster. The venue may have unsold seats for a number of reasons, and they are looking for a way to sell them quickly before the show starts. Result? You get great seats at a great price.
Q: How do I buy tickets through TiXiT?
A: Easy. First, you must create an account with TiXiT. Click here to set up your account. Once you are a member, find a show on our Event List that you are interested in and click Buy Tix Now! You will be redirected to the ticketing website for that event (e.g., Ticketmaster, Showclix, etc.). Be sure to copy your TiXiT discount code. You need to enter it when you purchase your tickets to get the discount. Then just complete your transaction and enjoy the show.
Q: I went to buy tickets using the discount code, and I got a message of NO SEATS AVAILABLE. What did I do wrong?
A: Any TiXiT discounts and offers are based on availability of discounted seats or seats at that particular price. Depending upon when you try to make your purchase, seats may or may not be available at a specified price or discount level. Please search for BEST AVAILABLE and ANY PRICE selections when buying tickets to see what tickets are available. You may want to try different combination of ticket prices and seat locations, or try a lower number of seats.
Q: Can I use TiXiT to buy tickets to an event that is scheduled for tonight?
A: Yes, however ticketing is subject to any limitations or deadlines of the ticketing system. For example, Ticketmaster typically transfers all remaining tickets to the box office a few hours before each event. Unfortunately you cannot walk up to the ticketing window the night of the event and use a TiXiT discount code there to purchase tickets. You must make your purchase online or by phone in advance of the event to get the discount.
Q: Am I allowed to share my TiXiT discounts with other people?
A: TiXiT exists to help event promoters sell remaining empty seats. The more of those seats we help sell, the happier the event promoters are and the more people enjoy the show, at a great price we might add. We know everyone loves getting a great deal, so we encourage you to tell your friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers - you get the idea. Q: Can I pick up my tickets at Box Office or Will Call?
A: When you purchase your tickets, if that is an option at checkout then you will be able to pick them up at will call. Different events and ticket sellers will have different delivery methods. Unfortunately you cannot walk up to the ticketing window the night of the event and use a TiXiT discount code there to purchase tickets. You must make your purchase online or by phone in advance of the event to get the discount.
Q: Is there a fee to join TiXiT or to buy tickets?
A: No! Membership in TiXiT is free. Just click the Sign Up tab, tell us about yourself and what type of events you are interested in. We do not add additional charges to your transaction. Any additional charges such as taxes, convenience fees, etc. are assessed based on the terms of the ticket seller like Ticketmaster or Showclix.
Q: How can you assure me the tickets are legitimate?
A: TiXiT does not sell event tickets directly, so you are dealing with the same trusted ticket sellers like Ticketmaster and Showclix that manage all the tickets for the event. We provide a discount code that you use at checkout, which reduces your ticket price.
Q: How do I customize my TiXiT alert notifications to reflect my interests?
A: When you sign up, select boxes next to the types of events you like. If you are already a TiXiT member, update your preferences on your profile. Let us know if you like music, theatre, soccer, hockey, etc. and we let you know when the great discounts are available. You can also change your notification preferences for email, twitter, Facebook, text message, etc. at any time by editing your profile.
Q: How can I stay informed about upcoming events and discount offers?
A: When you sign up, or as a member, you can update your contact information on your profile. Whether you want e-mail, tweets, text messages, or Facebook notifications we will notify you when we have events that might be of interest to you. You can also login to TiXiT on a regular basis and see what discounts we have added. We recommend doing this because discounts change all the time and seats are often limited.
Q: I paid full price for an event that you have discounted tickets for. Can I get a refund of the difference?
A: Unfortunately, no. The ticket you have for the event is not one that would have been available through the TiXiT discount program. Any TiXiT discounts offered are based on availability of discounted seats. Seats may or may not be available at a specified discount level. Any refunds or rebates on tickets you have already purchased are subject to the terms and conditions of the organization you purchased them from.
Q: What information does TiXiT collect about me? How does TiXiT use that information?
A: We only collect basic information like name, email, zip code, interests, etc. so we know what events are important to you and how to tell you about them. Because we do not directly sell tickets, we will never ask you for your credit card information. For further information on the types of information we collect and how we use it, please read our privacy policy.
Q: How can I contact TiXiT?
A: Click the Contact tab on our site and send us a question, comment, or any feedback you have. We would love to hear from you.
Q: If I have tickets for an event, will you buy them or help me sell them?
A: No. TiXiT is not a buyer or reseller of tickets.
Q: Are you a Ticketmaster company?
A: No, but we do partner with Ticketmaster and many other ticketing systems. We are independently owned and operated and we are committed to finding great event deals to share with everyone.
Q: How do I leave the TiXiT community and delete my account?
A: We hope you do not have a reason to leave the TiXiT community, but if you must, just send us a message through the Contact Us page of our website with DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the message heading. We will send you an email requesting you reply with confirmation of this deletion request. We are not trying to make it hard to leave. We want to protect your account from spoofed deletion requests. Once we receive that confirmation we will delete your account and notify you of its deletion. If you change your mind and want to reopen an account, simply sign up again, tell us your preferences, and get access to all our great discounts.
